I didn’t always agree with him but still had to admit his life was truly inspirational and his writings  brilliant. He didn’t smile as much as some people thought he should have-he had a great sense of humor you could miss if you weren’t paying close attention.Evidently some people weren’t paying close attention. One day he didn’t show up for his panel on Fox News.It wasn’t like him. Then,he basically called in sick.It was then i had an uneasy feeling something foreboding lie ahead. The panel was eager for Mr Krauthammer to return.

When they were placing their bets on the election,Charles ended up putting his chips on ‘wine,women & song.’ Trump won as we know.

He was not crazy about Trump, which he made clear from the beginning, but he also put out a warning . He knew that the political establishment (includes both parties)wanted to take out Trump.

He knew that such a removal would be a “catastrophic mistake” causing a  “rupture in the country”.

Krauthammer was no dummy.

“I think we are really headed into very choppy and dangerous constitutional waters. We know what the Democrats want to do: they want to get control of the House and then start impeachment. Now, I happen to think, as you know, I opposed the Trump candidacy, I don’t think he is very well fit for the presidency, but fitness is not a reason for impeachment and removal — high crimes are,” Krauthammer said.

“Here we have, we have a prosecutor looking for high crimes. With Watergate, you started with a crime and then you try to find out what happened. Here, they are looking for a crime. Perhaps they will find one, I don’t know. As of yet, I haven’t heard of one. Collusion is unseemly, but it ain’t a crime. So, you have got a political establishment, mostly Democratic, but there are some Republicans who would like to see him taken out of office,” he continued.

He seems to imply Trump might have committed a crime;you have to keep in mind here that Mr Krauthammer was no fan of Trump.Still,he realized how destructive their behavior was. He strongly believed the results had to be  respected.

In the end my gut feeling was right.Mr Krauthammer was not coming back.  It was incredibly sad news. I don’t care how much one could disagree with the man & I STRONGLY disagreed with him about Pres Trump,you couldn’t help but both admire and like him. A great loss. He is still with us through his writings.

The Letter  from Charles Krauthammer to Fox News:

I have been uncharacteristically silent these past ten months. I had thought that silence would soon be coming to an end, but I’m afraid I must tell you now that fate has decided on a different course for me.

In August of last year, I underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in my abdomen. That operation was thought to have been a success, but it caused a cascade of secondary complications – which I have been fighting in hospital ever since. It was a long and hard fight with many setbacks, but I was steadily, if slowly, overcoming each obstacle along the way and gradually making my way back to health.

However, recent tests have revealed that the cancer has returned. There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means it is aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me their best estimate is that I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over.

I wish to thank my doctors and caregivers, whose efforts have been magnificent. My dear friends, who have given me a lifetime of memories and whose support has sustained me through these difficult months. And all of my partners at The Washington Post, Fox News, and Crown Publishing.

Lastly, I thank my colleagues, my readers, and my viewers, who have made my career possible and given consequence to my life’s work. I believe that the pursuit of truth and right ideas through honest debate and rigorous argument is a noble undertaking. I am grateful to have played a small role in the conversations that have helped guide this extraordinary nation’s destiny.

I leave this life with no regrets. It was a wonderful life – full and complete with the great loves and great endeavors that make it worth living. I am sad to leave, but I leave with the knowledge that I lived the life that I intended.

Thomas Sowell (born June 30, 1930) is an American economist and social theorist who is currently a Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.

Sowell was born in North Carolina, but grew up in Harlem, New York. He dropped out of high school and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He received a bachelor’s degree, graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1958 and a master’s degree from Columbia University in 1959. In 1968, he earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago.
