My favorite prayer/novena is one I only recently found-Mary,Undoer of Knots. The imagery of life as being a ribbon is compelling. Never heard of this prayer before but it is easy to picture our Blessed Mother untying the knots we get in our lives.

Whether that’s a difficulty we can’t seem to overcome, a fall from grace, a straying from God or an emotional issue we can’t find a solution to, this is a prayer especially for those needs. We put the ribbon in maternal hands and ask her to undo the knots. It may happen right away or it may take time. I think back to the times my mother untied the knots in my shoes or i had to undo the knots in my own son’s. It is easy to think of the prayer that way too but applied to our life as a whole.

I found the novena-a 9 day prayer-on you tube with several versions but all said with meditation on the rosary. A prayer all Catholics are familiar with.
