Checked it out and as i suspected it was about Joe Biden being a Catholic. It at all began because of the Supreme Court’s position on a Texas law regarding abortion and Biden’s response to it. Background:

Biden, who identifies himself as a Catholic, said

In case anyone thinks Roe V Wade included restrictions on when an abortion could be legally performed, they’re dead wrong. i used to believe that was the case.You would assume they’d have some restrictions so I, like most people, never bothered to think otherwise. It’s basically at the discretion of the doctor/client and can be performed anytime. The most common procedure is a dnc abortion.
So let’s talk about Joe’s position and his being Catholic. He’s free to support Roe V Wade, but this also incurs an excommunication latae sententiae.
He can attend Mass. Anyone-even a non Catholic-can attend Mass but he must refrain from receiving Holy Communion until and unless he reconciles with the Church which has a very clear teaching re abortion.
I will say this regarding abortion after reading all the tweets with the usual arguments for abortion-if a country will not protect the most vulnerable innocent human life i wouldn’t expect that country to care about my life or anyone else’s. If it can’t do that, there’s a problem.
The Right To Choose
Nobody is going to take away anyone’s right to choose. When you get up in the morning you can have a cup of coffee or pass for tea(don’t know who would do such a thing but you get the point),you can go to work or call in sick. Heck you can even stay in bed an extra 5 minutes and possibly be late for work or sleep in altogether and miss work for the day totally.Your paycheck will be smaller and you could even get fired but that’s YOUR choice. Everything about life is a choice. We’re free to make terrible choices and plenty of people do. Our prisons are full of them.There are choices between 2 good things and the outcome may have little or no consequence at all or there can be choices between 2 goods either of which has a tremendous impact ; there can be choices between one good thing and the opposite terrible choice with dire consequences. Now that i’ve only stated the obvious we have to look at a concept called law.
You don’t need anyone to explain what law is. A law says this is what you can do and this is what you cannot do. The 10 commandments are law. Then Jesus summed up the law in 2 great commandments-love your neighbor as yourself and love God above all .In our homes it was usually either mom or dad that was the one who “laid down the law.”We know what that meant. The law of the land in the United States is our Constitution. Again, law in simple terms is this is what you must do and this is what you can’t do. We get it.
The Preamble of Our Constitution
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
The preamble spells it out: the people established the Constitution and this is what it’s for.

First of all the founders were Christian although Jefferson could rightly be called a Theist. All of the founders were influenced by the great Christian thinkers and their own faith in God. i don’t think the left wants to acknowledge this fact but it’s true. They prohibited Congress from establishing a church ie The Church of England knowing full well how that worked out in the country they revolted against. They were not going to allow Congress to pass laws that would prohibit people from practicing their faith. In their wisdom too they made it clear that if a power was not granted to the government or prohibited by the states it was to go to the state or the people.
No government is ever going to be perfect but as far as any country goes we have it pretty darned good here. The founders didn’t want one person to have absolute power and they enshrined a system of shared powers that was intended to make that difficult; nor did they want a government so weak it had no glue to hold the country together.They had a moral framework to guide them. Hard as it might be for the left to envision it they were NOT secular humanists. We have all the rights we have because they had a moral compass.They didn’t say endowed by the state in the Declaration of Independence. They proclaimed that we are endowed by our Creator with unalienable rights. We forget that we’re done. Just in case the powers that be did forget they protected the right to self defense.They wrote as plain as day the right to bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. They considered that one day we might have to defend our freedoms again. They didn’t overcome the British with wishful thinking.
So you can clearly see the immutable truths they codified. Hopefully the left clearly sees them and realizes how they shaped our country. It’s how we abandoned the horrible evil of slavery and eventually other immoral laws ie Jim Crow, segregation, discrimination based on race.A lot of people sacrificed their lives to get where we are today from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Movement. America is a country that gives us the freedom to be a moral people.
Before we wrap this up i will jump into freedom of speech/press. It’s related to the abortion issue. Not in the same way as the other freedoms but it is important enough.
So how do laws get decided?
We know the good guys from the bad guys here. The founders knew the bad guys then, particularly 1 bad guy.
Two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence stand out:
The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America, When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
They definitely made an appeal to their belief in God. They made an appeal to where laws come from. The ultimate yardstick by which we measure good and evil-God. If you know of another source [ultimate yardstick] let me know.
We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. They knew what it meant once they signed this but they did it with reliance on God to protect them. Then they pledged to each other everything they knew they were risking. They knew they were dealing with a tyrant and they listed all the reasons they wanted to get away from him. They appealed to the higher power they believed in. They referred to the Supreme Judge.Not the Supreme Leader, not the Supreme Court; the Supreme Judge.They were definitely not secular humanists or anti religion.
It was law that made slavery illegal
It was law that allowed slavery to be legal but it was the 13th Amendment to the Constitution that made it ILLEGAL.
Passed by Congress on January 31, 1865, and ratified on December 6, 1865, the 13th amendment abolished slavery in the United States and provides that “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”.https://www.archives.gov/historical-docs/13th-amendment
No one would argue that slavery isn’t evil. Of course it is. Conservative or liberal,Democrat or Republican, left or right i’m certain we all agree. Slavery is morally wrong. You might find a handful of depraved stupid people in the United States who think otherwise.
We all agree on other moral evils. Murder, robbery , rape…nobody would argue that they’re not evil and must be against the law. It just gets me when people argue for abortion by saying you can’t impose religious beliefs on them. They would never make that same argument for murder, robbery or rape but their train left the station a long time ago.
The CCP in China Has Laws Too
The communists are atheists. They are not going to enact policy or pass laws based on Christian beliefs. Marx considered religion the ‘opiate of the people.’ Maybe he should have considered power as the opiate of some people. Maybe in a moment of self awareness he would have realized he was one of those people. So what are their guiding principles? If there is no moral good or evil how does legislation work in China? Who legislates? How do they determine what their laws should be? What input does a citizen of China have, if any?
The NPC and its Standing Committee exercise the state power to make laws. The NPC enacts and amends basic laws pertaining to criminal offences, civil affairs, state organs and other matters. The people’s congresses of national autonomous areas have the power to formulate regulations concerning autonomy and local needs in light of their own local political, economic and cultural conditions. Apparently this NPC Standing Committee is the be all and end all. Nearly every paragraph of their Constitution begins with the words, The state [Articles 1-30].
Here’s an example of the Chinese state ‘passing a law’.It’s one most people have heard of, the one child policy. It did not work out well.
The Texas Abortion Law

The Texas Heartbeat Law passed the Texas Legislature and was signed into law in 2021. This new law guarantee bans abortions when a human baby’s life is detected in the womb by a heartbeat, while current Texas law allows for abortions as late as 20 weeks.https://txvalues.org/texas-heartbeat-law/
The U.S. Supreme Court voted not to interfere in the Texas law and determined it could not block the new law. For a good analysis of the Court decision i highly recommend the article in Newsweek by Josh Blackman.
Human Life or Not?
Life begins at conception. That’s true whether it’s an animal or a human being.Who says? Science says. It’s why women who do not wish to become pregnant use birth control. It’s designed to prevent what?CONCEPTION. The point at which a woman should control her body is before she is apt to conceive. This may mean using birth control or practicing abstinence. Reproduction begins with sexual intercourse between a male and female. Once conception occurs reproduction has already begun. I posit that artificial birth control was the door that opened to abortion but i’m not going to jump into that discussion here. All i’m saying is that life begins at conception and that’s why a woman would use birth control; to PREVENT CONCEPTION. If life doesn’t begin at conception there’s no point in using birth control at all.
You could just wait and either carry full term or terminate the pregnancy at some stage with an abortion. If you’re pro life you care about the life of the mother and unborn BOTH. You don’t want either to die. If you’re pro abortion you’re going to argue for abortion every time. First you’re going to say it’s a ‘clump of cells.’ True and you’re a clump of cells.Then you’ll get into terminology. It’s a fetus. Again true. This is the biological terminology for a stage of development. So? What’s your point? If you personally know a pregnant woman you’re not going to say congratulations on your fetus. It’s the correct terminology but who talks like that unless you’re in biology class. Again, what’s your point anyway?
It’s a human life and is developing the same way all of us did. The moral law says you do not take the life of an innocent human being. Now we’re back to square one. In our country law is based on moral law. If you live under a regime like the one in China then the law is wrongly based on the arbitrary decisions of the state and that kind of governance is always tyrannical. The state is god and power is the opium of the people at the top.
What about exceptions for rape and incest? Abortion is either the taking of an innocent human life or it isn’t. The rapist, not the baby, is the criminal.Why is the baby given the death penalty? Same with incest. As disgusting as that is, as criminal as that is, as immoral as that is,the baby and mother are both victims.Truth to be told though abortions procured for those reasons are extremely rare. If you’re pro abortion it is always the worst case scenarios you bring up and they don’t account for the majority of abortions. You can look up abortion stats by state. Most keep a record. If you’re interested i’ll let you do the research.
Safe, Legal and Rare
When the country was first debating the legalization of abortion the pro abortion movement had a slogan-Make Abortion Safe,Legal and Rare.
Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life has been involved with the pro life movement for years. He notes:
The procedure carries over 150 possible physical and emotional complications. Furthermore, the legal abortion clinics are the most unregulated surgical facilities in the nation.
Abortion is legal but my thinking is they took the abortionist out of the back alley and turned it into a lucrative business with a veneer of respectability. The alley moved to a clinic. Please at least spare me the coat hanger argument.There is no record of women using coat hangers to self abort. i remember the years prior to the Supreme Court making abortion legal,it was rare.
.The numbers now would be considered genocide under any other circumstances.
Why is abortion tax payer funded?
They get enough donations (Planned Parenthood isn’t hurting)without expecting everyone else to donate. i don’t expect the government to tax people to get money for the NRA. You want to donate to pay for abortion-fine. You do that. The abortion industry is doing well enough without the government supporting it through our tax dollars and no consent.The Democrat party offers them protection like no other organization. i didn’t know Planned Parenthood was a charity.
The argument that we’re imposing morality-or our religious beliefs-could be turned around. Why are you imposing your immorality on us?
The law is supposed to protect and for us that means protect the life of the born and unborn. It’s not too much to ask.Every other right depends on the first-the right to life. You’re not given the chance to live none of the other God given inalienable rights are going to matter.
i wish Catholic politicians like Biden and Pelosi didn’t misrepresent the Church. If they don’t know what the Church teaches they need to sit down and talk to someone that does-meantime if they can’t lead by example they can at least stop saying they are Catholic. When they say they personally oppose abortion (nonsense, they don’t) but support a woman’s right to choose that is duplicitous. You refuse to protect the unborn i honestly don’t expect you to put much value on my life or anyone else’s. As noted nobody is going to take away anyone’s God given rights. The Constitution does give the states legislative powers. Politicians; what they won’t do to get elected. Sell their souls to the devil maybe?
This is one of the reasons i supported Donald Trump and it’s the same reason i support Larry Elder.Neither one of them are beholden to special interest groups. These 2 are our George Washington’s.

I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion, because it is a war against the child, a direct killing of the innocent child, murder by the mother herself. And if we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love and we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts. Jesus gave even His life to love us. So, the mother who is thinking of abortion, should be helped to love, that is, to give until it hurts her plans, or her free time, to respect the life of her child. The father of that child, whoever he is, must also give until it hurts.
By abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. And, by abortion, that father is told that he does not have to take any responsibility at all for the child he has brought into the world. The father is likely to put other women into the same trouble. So abortion just leads to more abortion. Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.
Many people are very, very concerned with the children of India, with the children of Africa where quite a few die of hunger, and so on. Many people are also concerned about all the violence in this great country of the United States. These concerns are very good. But often these same people are not concerned with the millions who are being killed by the deliberate decision of their own mothers. And this is what is the greatest destroyer of peace today – abortion which brings people to such blindness.
Freedom of speech and religion give us the right to talk about the issue of abortion.Would the left prefer we sit down and shut up? Sure they would. When they can’t get their own way legislatively they run to the courts.As soon as they say we’re imposing our beliefs that’s meant to shut us down right there. Read the Constitution. It says freedom of religion; not freedom of worship.We’re not relegated to the churches. We are Catholic in the voting booth.We are Catholic when we support pro life legislation. We are Catholic when we look at Biden and Pelosi and expect them to be what they say they are. You don’t have to be Catholic or even religious to support life but you do have to if you are Catholic.
i can say Biden stole the election and Trump won. You’re ‘not allowed’ to say that. It got Pres Trump banned from Twitter. I’ve said it and will keep saying it because it’s true and because we’re allowed. You may not like it. You may disagree but it’s supposed to be protected speech. They want to make the 2020 election ‘laws’ that is lack of, work for them in 2022 AND 24. They changed the laws unconstitutionally meaning the election results in those states should have been invalidated and the electors not certified. You can’t tell me they didn’t cheat in 2020.They’re at it trying again & that’s because it worked. If they had failed, trust me, they would try something else. They’d hatch another plot.
