Gov. Kristi Noem To Send 50 Troops To Help At The Southern Border

Following through on her promise to help at the border in any way possible, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem announced this week she is sending dozens of troops to help “secure our southern border.”On Monday, Noem confirmed in a press release from the governor’s office that “up to fifty South Dakota National Guard troops are being deployed to Texas to help secure the border between the United States and Mexico.”The troops will initially be deployed for at least 30 to 60 days, however, mission specifics will not be released for “operational security reasons.”
