One of Robert Mueller’s former top prosecutors said the outside prosecutor picked to review the case against retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn is a ruse to investigate President Trump’s perceived enemies.
Andrew Weissmann, a former Justice Department official who was known as Mueller’s “pit bull” during the Russia investigation, said the Justice Department swapped out the “loser case” of Andrew McCabe, who escaped criminal charges on Friday for allegedly lying to investigators about authorizing media disclosures, for a fresh one targeting top former FBI officials, including McCabe, led by Jeffrey Jensen, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri.
“All they did was swapped out a loser case for starting an investigation that is going to be of Comey, McCabe, Pete Strzok,” Weissmann told MSNBC host Chuck Todd.

In January of 2018, KMOV’s Lauren Trager broke a story that alleged that Republican Gov. Eric Greitens, who was very popular with Missourians, not only had an extramarital affair with his hairdresser, Katrina Sneed but alleged that he was blackmailing her. Lauren Trager claimed that the news outlet had spent months investigating before breaking the story…
This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse Blog. It appears that the U.S. military is taking this coronavirus outbreak extremely seriously.
An executive order has been issued which has initiated the implementation of “the Department of Defense Global Campaign plan for Pandemic Influenza and Infectious Diseases 3551-13”.We don’t know all of the details of the plan, but we do know that it instructs U.S. military officials “to prepare for widespread outbreaks”.
Many in the mainstream media continue to try to convince us that this virus is not much more dangerous than the common flu, but if that is true then why is our military taking such a dramatic step?
The following comes from a Military Times article…An executive order issued by the Joint Staff and approved by Defense Secretary Mark Esper this month directed Northern Command and geographic combatant commanders to initiate pandemic plans, which include ordering commanders to prepare for widespread outbreaks and confining service members with a history of travel to China.
The Navy and Marine Corps messages, issued Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, reference an executive order directing U.S. Northern Command to implement the Department of Defense Global Campaign plan for Pandemic Influenza and Infectious Diseases 3551-13.
For now, we are not being told the specific details of this plan, and when Northern Command was asked about it they issued a very vague statement…
“We coordinate with other combatant commands to assess potential impacts in the event of a pandemic and we ensure the U.S. military is poised to respond as required,” said Northern Command in a statement emailed to Military Times. “
The military profession fosters a culture of planning, and the fact that we are coordinating planning efforts across the geographical combatant commands is consistent with how we prepare to respond, if directed.”
Thankfully, the virus is not spreading widely inside the United States so far.But that could change at any time, and on Wednesday a 14th U.S. case was confirmed…
The 2020 election is no foregone conclusion.
A radical legislative proposal by the House Democrats called the New Way Forward Act would essentially eliminate immigration enforcement and allow criminal aliens into the U.S. subsidized by the American taxpayer.
Acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf joined Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Friday to explain the Democrats’ “dangerous” proposal.
“It’s very dangerous,” Wolf said. “I would say it completely guts our immigration enforcement system that we have in place. It also is — just from a pure legality perspective, it just guts the rule of law.”
“So, envision a world where individuals no longer have to wait in line for visas. They can come across the border. It’s no longer criminality to do that. They can then come into the system. We can’t deport them, because we can’t hold people. It essentially abolishes ICE.”
“And then on top of all of that, going back 25 years, we then have to find folks, bring them back into the country, relitigate their immigration proceedings,” Wolf continued.“So, if you’re looking for a way to abolish our immigration system, abolish ICE, and just rewrite our immigration code completely, this would be the legislation for you,” he added.
Fortunately, he said, President Trump “would never” sign such a bill, but should the Democrats win the 2020 election, it would likely pass and become law.

New reporting from the Daily Caller has revealed that the FBI’s former chief press officer was forced to resign last year, after lying to the Department of Justice’s inspector general about accepting baseball tickets from a CNN reporter.
Michael Kortan was formerly the FBI’s assistant director of public affairs. He resigned from the agency in 2018, while under investigation from the Office of the Inspector General.
The DOJ’s watchdog entity had discovered text messages in which Kortan agreed to accept baseball tickets to two Washington Nationals games during May and September 2016 from a CNN reporter.
A report from the Office of the Inspector General describes Kortan as displaying a “lack of candor” [LIED]during two interviews he was subjected to on the matter, suggesting that Kortan lied about accepting the gifts from a forbidden source.
Kortan also accepted baseball tickets from a New York Times reporter in 2014 and 2016. The anonymous CNN reporter who evidently provided gifts to the bureaucrat was apparently considered one of his top press contacts, suggesting that he or she may have been privy to confidential agency information that should have been kept private.
