Attorney General William Barr on Monday discussed John Durham probe into the origins of the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia in 2016 in a sit-down interview with Fox News.Barr told Fox News Durham is “making great progress” in his investigation and shared he is “confident” Durham is “going to get to the bottom of things.”“We’ll let the chips fall where they may,” Barr outlined. “I think they all know John Durham’s reputation and we’ll just see how it turns out.”He added, “But I do want to say that one of the reasons Mr. Durham is able to make the kind of progress he’s making is because Director Ray and his team at the FBI have just been outstanding in the support and responsiveness they’ve given.”Follow Trent Baker on Twitter @MagnifiTrent
Larry C Johnson, a former CIA analyst claims he has been talking to people he knows still with the CIA and they told him that John Brennan set up a CIA Trump Task Force with the approval of James Clapper. This type of surveillance is usually set up to monitor foreign operatives and could be illegal to have when the target is an American citizen and especially a presidential candidate. The members of the task force were not volunteers but rather were handpicked by Brennan. Johnson claims that some turned the assignment down and are now talking to Barr and Durham. We have been unable to confirm this. These task forces are usually set up to monitor drug traffickers and terrorists. They are set up to gather and record their activities and that is what Johnson is claiming that Brennan did. If Johnson’s story is true, Brennan is in a world of trouble. We will just have to wait and see what happens. The Deep State can already feel the roof caving in after former FBI attorney James Baker turned state’s evidence.
