Who is this Benedict Arnold and why is he still employed?!Brooke Singman, of Fox News, reported that, “Acting [Department of] Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kevin McAleenan is being accused of leaking plans last week for scheduled Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids, after expressing fierce opposition and allegedly ordering top officials to ‘stand down’ on the operation.”“A source familiar with the matter told Fox News that when the operation was in its planning phase two weeks ago, McAleenan ordered ICE Acting Director Mark Morgan to call off the deportation operation that was expected to target 2,000 families in up to 10 cities across the country. President Trump, however, ordered that Morgan continue as planned.”If this is true…, Kevin McAleenan should at the very least be fired, along with being charged with reckless endangerment of the lives of the men and women who are to execute these raids on illegal immigrants who had already been ordered to leave the United States. It is anyone’s right to disagree with any given operation, but it IS NOT anyone’s right to intentionally sabotage an authorized operation and place people’s lives at risk!
“They’re the mouthpiece for progressivism, just as the New York Times was the mouthpiece for Stalin.”
Monday night on the radio, LevinTV host Mark Levin discussed how communist sympathies and tactics within the ranks the American Left are nothing new and how the modern mass media runs cover for them today.
During the opening segment of his radio program, Levin read from a piece over at City Journal Magazine in which Harry Stein outlines how the American Left is returning to a level of sympathy and support for outright communism reminiscent of the “red decade” of the 1930s.
Levin said that Stein’s article “really cuts across so much of what’s going on in this country.”
During the piece, Stein discusses how journalist Eugene Lyons in his 1941 book, “The Red Decade,” chronicled the phenomenon of how those with Communist sympathies exercised a considerable amount of influence over Hollywood and the press and especially appealed to “the idealistic, emotion-driven young” who Lyons described as the “perfect raw stuff for demagogic molding.”
That importance of appealing to youth is still a factor on the Left today, the host explained.
“And now you know why Bernie Sanders is focused on wiping out college debt and college for all,” Levin said. “This is what the Left does, the Marxist Left.”
Lyons also noted a tendency among the political Left then to “liquidate careers and disappear reputations” for those who dissented from its beliefs, in a fashion eerily similar to the American Left of the 21st century.
In a later segment of the program, Levin would point out that none of this widespread support for Marxist ideologies and tactics in the United States would have been possible then or possible now without ideological backup from the American media:
“That is, they’re not about freedom; they’re not about speech; they’re not about a healthy press,” Levin said. “They’re the mouthpiece for progressivism, just as the New York Times was the mouthpiece for Stalin.”
Trey Gowdy said Sunday that an FBI transcript he reviewed while in Congress changed his “perspective” of the Mueller investigation.Republicans have alluded to the mystery transcript, which is believed to be from an FBI informant’s interactions with George Papadopoulos.
Gowdy has previously said the transcript is a potential “game-changer” in terms of the public’s opinion of the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign.
Former Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy said Sunday that his “perspective” of the special counsel’s investigation changed after he saw a transcript of an interaction between the FBI and a Trump campaign associate believed to be George Papadopoulos.
“I was supportive of [Robert] Mueller. I was supportive of the idea to initiate, to investigate what Russia did, but when I saw this transcript, it actually changed my perspective,” Gowdy said in an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
One of the reasons why the Flynn legal situation is so interesting is not really because of Flynn himself; but rather because the Flynn situation is a likely example of President Obama’s surveillance network in operation.
