I’m a Catholic who voted for Donald J.Trump.
We survived the assault on our Catholic faith by Obama and just dodged electing the same with Clinton.
I read your comments re Donald Trump and your warning about a rise of a Hitler like figure out of populism. Now there seems to be a narrative here that you compared Trump to Hitler & it’s going around social media.
With all due respect Holy Father please stay away from off the cuff comments with the press. I don’t know who is advising you re U.S.politics but the best route to take is to stay out of U.S.politics and as far away from the press as you can get.We can’t be cavalier with our use of the word Hitler. If everyone is Hitler, then no one is Hitler.
For those who are non Catholic we don’t have a problem. I would never beat anyone over the head with our beliefs. If you’re anti Catholic-we are going to butt heads.
If you’re Catholic and reject the teachings of Holy Mother, the Church we are definitely going to butt heads.
You see i am a Catholic revert. What drew me back to the Church was that i chose to live in sin and couldn’t see the light of day on that side. Here i had to truly face myself and find peace. If the Church is infected by the norms of the world, what reason do we have to reject those norms? i was blessed to be guided by Saint John Paul II,Pope Benedict the XVI,the traditions i learned as a youngster, the guidance my parents had given us,the Catechism of the Catholic Church and EWTN.
It matters that we go to Confession, change our lifestyle even if that requires sacrifice. We’re not here to conform to the world. What hurts the Church more than anything are priests, bishops and yes, even Cardinals who water down our teaching. If you can’t provide the anchor in turbulent waters you discourage people from being here. My husband obtained an annulment so we could be married in the Church and receive communion.Jesus was clear;if you divorce and marry another you commit adultery and force the other into adultery. Those words were set in stone by Jesus Himself.
Unfortunately there is a diabolical whirl wind going across the Western World that is trying to destroy the family.Homosexual marriage, abortion, contraception and cohabitation are attacking the family and eroding our culture. Now we even have confusion in the Church re marriage. Catholics will be faced by one of two choices.Stay faithfully in the Church and pray for deliverance or LEAVE the Church because it can no longer claim to remain true to her own teachings;we’re either the true Church founded by Christ or we’re not.
Yes,God is merciful(or i’d still be lost)but He is also JUST. We can’t have one without the other. First requirement: admit we are wrong.

this is how we have to talk to people and have the courage BIG JOE did.
The Trump Administration finds itself with an enemy not overseas but right here at home, and it’s called our media. The media lost big time in the 2016 General Election when they backed the wrong horse in Hillary Clinton. They didn’t ask her the tough questions, they didn’t follow up on leaking stories, they didn’t hold her accountable, and the American voter saw each and every day. Voters watched the media try to denigrate Trump spokesmen and surrogates while giving softball questions to Hillary’s group and they didn’t like it.They were turned off by it and turned on the Trump’s populist “America First” message. It resonated and brought hope to those who had been in the shadows. But that didn’t stop the media from trying to destroy this administration before it got started.Help us continue to fight the liberal media fake news! Contribute $20 to keep our website holding them accountable! Now Trump is in the White House, and the media keeps fighting him. They will not report on the major businesses that have said they were staying in the country or investing “billions” into hiring employees and building new plants. They want to attack Trump on trivial things, and Trump’s Chief of Staff Reince Priebus just laid down the gauntlet. From Daily Mail:The White House vowed on Sunday to fight the news media “tooth and nail” over what officials see as unfair attacks on President Donald Trump, setting a tone that could ratchet up a traditionally adversarial relationship to a new level of rancor.A day after the Republican president used his first visit to CIA headquarters on Saturday to accuse the media of underestimating the crowds at his inauguration, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus expressed indignation at the reports and referred to them as “attacks.”“The point is not the crowd size. The point is the attacks and the attempt to delegitimize this president in one day. And we’re not going to sit around and take it,” Priebus said on “Fox News Sunday.”Priebus complained about a press pool report that said the bust of Martin Luther King Jr had been removed from the Oval Office. The report on Friday night was quickly corrected but Trump called out the reporter by name at the Central Intelligence Agency on Saturday, as did spokesman Sean Spicer later in the day.“We’re going to fight back tooth and nail every day and twice on Sunday,” Priebus said.Nice to see Priebus take this tone and alert the mainstream media they are on notice. This administration is not going to be the punching bag past administrations were, they are built to fight back, and that’s what Americans have wanted for the longest time.
