An Open Letter to @megynkelly

Whenever i write one of these ‘open letters’ i usually get someone incredibly angry with me. Right off i want to tell you that i love the Kelly File. Rarely(if ever)miss ya. You’re sharp. Nothing gets by you. I especially want to thank you for having Tony Perkins of the FRC on to talk about the persecution of Christians. He’s a good man. I heard Obama at both prayer breakfasts.  I’ll have a few things to say about Obama in another entry. He infuriates me on a regular basis.

I watched the segment with Tony Perkins as well as the segment that followed up with Obama supporter Fowler(?).

That’s the segment i want to comment on. Jesus came up in the discussion.

Yes,Jesus associated with sinners. That’s all of us*. He was often attacked for associating with sinners. Jesus explained; the healthy don’t need a doctor. The sick do. A doctor doesn’t visit the sick to leave them in their condition. He intends to heal them.

Yes,Jesus also said to love our neighbors. He told us the 2 greatest commandments.

The first was to love God (why does that one always get left out?)with our  whole heart, mind and soul. Love of neighbor was second. However,by love of neighbor Jesus did NOT mean have sex with them.

Jesus was also very very clear about marriage. He states it explicitly.

God did not permit divorce. Mosasic law did because the people were stubborn. 2. Marriage is between a man and a woman.PERIOD.

Matthew 19

a Some Pharisees approached him, and tested him,* saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?” 4* b He said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ 5c and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”

Also Mark 10:2–9; Luke 16:18

Let’s not forget the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. God annihilated the city of Sodom because it was awash in immorality particularly men having relations with other men.

Seems pretty clear doesn’t it?

I’m not even close to suggesting we take ppl with same sex attraction and throw them out windows, beat them up or hang them BUT a Christian should not be forced to violate his/her conscience.Freedom of religion is a guaranteed fundamental right.

Same sex attraction is NOT the same as race.Sorry but this comparison to the legitimate civil rights movement in the 60’s when blacks had to fight for their rights  doesn’t pass snuff. It is an insult to the men and women back then who suffered so greatly.

To the people who bring it up and try to make the comparison;nice try, but no cigar.1. They have a disordered attraction but they do not have to act on it. Behavior is a choice. 2. they cannot actually BE married.

When Obama said he supported marriage as between one man/one woman at Rick Warren’s Saddleback interview he was lying. He lied to get elected.[Wasn’t his last either].Fowler claims he ‘evolved’ Nonsense. Who is stupid enough to believe that one?

Jason Evert said it well here:

It’s important to understand that when the Church talks about marriage, it is not primarily talking about what to people do (exchange vows), but rather what two people become (an icon of Christ’s love for his bride, the Church).

Not surprisingly, many people will object even to this, assuming the Church has no right to pontificate on such matters. What’s ironic is that the culture that first demanded to have intercourse without marriage now demands marriage without intercourse.

*as Catholics were are blessed with the Sacrament of Reconciliation(confession). It’s a good thing.

House Showing Today

which means,we had to do the let’s get er clean from top to bottom routine. Almost top to bottom. We did a whip bang job though. Now if my hubby’s sister actually shows up this week,we won’t have to do it all over again. It’s been chilly here too. Spring is slow in coming. I haven’t gotten back to the 2nd part of the Saint(Pope)John Paul II entry yet. but Divine Mercy Sunday is this Sunday ,meaning it will be done before Sunday!

I also set up a message board to support Ted Cruz for 2016. Check it out and if you can support him you’re welcome to join:

One of these days I’m going to have to get back to my Catholic forum. My co-pilot and good friend “Portia” wrote me and it’s turned out she has vertigo. We used to kid each other that we were twins but i never expected her to go this far with it.

(Kind of a private joke there). Now that i know she’s that ill I may have to go solo there for awhile. I honestly haven’t invested real time in it.Should.Am ashamed of myself too.

For tonight am just plain beat. We really did knock ourselves out today. Read a lot of good blogs quickly tonight(from the reader). Picked out a few to reblog. Hope you get a chance to read them.

Till Tomorrow…God willing.kitty and book falling asleep

Krauthammer: Obama Comments On Scott Walker’s Foreign Policy Acumen “Borders on the Pathological” (Video)

Nice Deb

I see Charles Krauthammer concurs with meon the surreal spectacle of a failed President  giving advice to the ascendant Governor Scott Walker.  Obama had the presumption to advise Walker to “bone up on foreign policy” after the Wisconsin Governor said he would revoke any agreement with Iran as president.

Of course, Dr. K. is somewhat more erudite and civil in his punditry than I am.

Transcript via RCP:

“I think this really helps Walker,” Krauthammer declared on Fox News’ Special Report, tonight.

“It’s not just a campaign story. This is a character story. I mean, we all know that Obama is a narcissist. But this is sort of bordering on the pathological. Given the wreckage that he has left America’s foreign policy in across the world, and I could go through the list of countries but it would take up the whole segment from all the way from Mali…
