Gone from the headlines

The Syrian conflict:

Assad is a brutal dictator,tyrant,despot.(China/N Korea) He has a terrible record of human rights violations.(China/N.Korea)

Assad gets overthrown and you get a brutal dictatorial, tyrannical regime with an even worse record of human rights violations and the massacre of Christians.

This is the Middle East. Maybe they’d be better off with Assad and we wouldn’t end up with a irrrational adversary who wants to kill us too.Assad may not be firing on all pistons but you could get worse.Waaay worse.

The difference between a freedom fighter and a terrorist is that when the battle is over a freedom fighter is willing to reconcile with the opponent and  permit everyone to have their God given right to freedom. A terrorist is willing to kill everyone that gets in their way and when it’s all said and done the only goal they have is control the people. They will keep killing people to maintain fear and control.Nothing to do with freedom.Everything to do with power.

China and North Korea are both ruled by tyrannical regimes with a terrible record of human rights violations. So why get involved with Syria? What about N Korea and China?

Benghazi and the IRS. Gone too. Where are the investigations going?

best they can do

Romney was not a bad choice(he should have won.Came darned close) but let’s get to the point.

Stop doing these coronations and then saying you must vote for this person because the other choice is worse.

I would have voted for anyone but Obama and did. Some people stayed home and cost us this one.

People-we have to vote. We can’t afford to stay home. For their part the GOP has to let the people speak and let US choose who we want. Not shove ppl on us.You crown em-we take em. It has to stop. The GOP put up Sen McCain and Obama took him to the cleaners. I voted for Gov Huckabee in our primary that year.He stood a better chance of beating Obama than McCain did, but you had to do another one of those coronations. I’ll vote my conscience in the primary just as i voted Huckabee in 2008. Always do. [It’s the kiss of death for a candidate so maybe i should vote for the person I don’t want.] I know i’ll vote in 2016, God willing I’m around that long. If i see another crowning it may be my last vote in any election. I don’t know how the Democrats can stand it. They do the same thing in  the Dem party and the rank and file put up with it.I swear some people would vote Satan as long as he was in their party.

When they booed God at the Democratic Convention i kind of wondered.
Anyway,I’m begging.PLS. NO CORONATIONS.

Sen Ted Cruz and Lt Col Allen West are my 2 top picks. Top of the list.Cream of the Crop.I don’t care which one runs for Potus as long as they’re both on the ticket. Gov Mike Huckabee would be a good choice too. Those are the 3 i will definitely consider.Beyond that.I don’t think so.

Sen Ted Cruz

After i heard Sen Ted Cruz today speak so passionately about the little sisters of the poor and religious freedom that did it for me. He zoomed to the top of my ‘must vote for’ list. Numero Uno.  I know he’s a very intelligent man.I know he has the guts to stand up when it’s called for.I know he has a stellar background. Hearing what he had to say today did it.

Cruz/West Top of the Ticket

Trey Gowdy,Attorney General

Dr Ben Carson, any cabinet position he wants

Who Else Remembers This?

We had a winter storm warning yesterday. It started out as pouring rain and for awhile there i was skeptical of the coming snow storm.Well,it came. It’s warming up again. So far every one of these warm ups have been a ‘teaser’. We get a snow storm a few days later. One of these times spring will really be here. I saw 2 robins a couple weeks ago.Their prints left in the snow behind them. They hopped up the sidewalk-no doubt, confused.

Reminds me of the climate change debate(or as it USED to be known, global warming). I wish they’d get it out of politics and leave it in the realm of science where it belongs. That said, who else remembers this from Time Magazine?

Another Ice Age?
Monday, June 24, 1974
In Africa, drought continues for the sixth consecutive year, adding terribly to the toll of famine victims. During 1972 record rains in parts of the U.S., Pakistan and Japan caused some of the worst flooding in centuries. In Canada’s wheat belt, a particularly chilly and rainy spring has delayed planting and may well bring a disappointingly small harvest. Rainy Britain, on the other hand, has suffered from uncharacteristic dry spells the past few springs. A series of unusually cold winters has gripped the American Far West, while New England and northern Europe have…

Kansas City, Kansas May Be First Catholic Diocese to Sever Relationship with Girl Scouts

An article from the Catholic Committee on Scouting, posted on March 17 on the website of the archdiocese’s Office of Evangelization and Catholic Formation for Youth, states that while GSUSA has had an important role in forming girls in the archdiocese for many decades, over the past several years, many parents and pro-life advocates have expressed significant concern that the Girl Scouts do not share Catholic pro-life and traditional family values.

The article explains that the archdiocese has concerns about both GSUSA and its international umbrella organization, World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS).

According to the article:

Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann and the Office of Evangelization and Catholic Formation for Youth have received numerous impassioned letters asking the Church to look into these areas of concern. We have diligently researched he concerns (see timeline below) and worked with priests, parish Girl Scout leaders, Mid-Continent Council of Girl Scout leaders, and top representatives from the national office of GSUSA. We continue this dialogue today, but find many troublesome areas of disagreement.
