Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate — we can not consecrate — we can not hallow — this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

ImageThis came from an e-mail by a fellow tea partier: Be on the lookout for this guy, Austin Sanders, at future rallies and events. He is a Socialist who is trying to harm the tea party in WV. He brings a couple of older guys with him to try to start trouble then he films what happens and edits it in a way to make anyone in a tea party look bad. He did this at the Manchin/Biden event and is planning to do this at other events. Don’t know how to combat this type of thing except to get the word out.

This raised suspicion among certain members of the business community, most notably former General Electric CEO Jack Welch.“Unbelievable jobs numbers,” Welch said in an Oct. 5 tweet, “these Chicago guys will do anything…can’t debate so change numbers.”He was quickly attacked by cable news pundits and branded by one group as an “unemployment-rate truther.”However, Welch’s skepticism towards the September 2012 jobs report may not have been that far-fetched.The September 2012 job numbers were “manipulated” and the the U.S. Census Bureau, the government agency responsible for the report, knew it, the Post alleges, citing “reliable sources.”The Post’s anonymous source, who said he’s willing to speak to the Labor Department and Congress about the falsified data if asked to do so, said unemployment data manipulation, which continues to this day, involves more than just one rogue employee.In fact, a full two years before President Barack Obama won a second term in the White House, the Census Bureau reportedly caught an employee fabricating unemployment data. However, the Post notes, instead of correcting the problem, it only got worse and escalated throughout the 2012 presidential election.The employee who was caught two years ago, one Julius Buckmon, told the Post in an interview that he “faked” the numbers at the direction of his supervisors.The Post’s John Crudele explains how Buckmon allegedly fabricated the data: Ironically, it was Labor’s demanding standards that left the door open to manipulation. Labor requires Census to achieve a 90 percent success rate on its interviews — meaning it needed to reach 9 out of 10 households targeted and report back on their jobs status. Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, I’m told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent.So how did Philadelphia fill the gap? With fake interviews, Buckmon said.“It was a phone conversation — I forget the exact words — but it was, ‘Go ahead and fabricate it’ to make it what it was,” he said.The Census Bureau interviews roughly 60,000 households each household representing 5,000 homes in the U.S. and uses the collected data to tabulate the unemployment rate.Buckmon, however, apparently conducted three times as many interviews than he needed, according to the Post.“By making up survey results — and, essentially, creating people out of thin air and giving them jobs — Buckmon’s actions could have lowered the jobless rate,” Crudele reports.“Buckmon said he filled out surveys for people he couldn’t reach by phone or who didn’t answer their doors,” he adds.The Census Bureau employee, for his part, said he never answered the part of the survey that asks if the respondent is “employed or not, looking for work, or have given up.”But by making up nonexistent people, Buckmon theoretically could have influenced the final number of persons employed in the U.S. It’s important to note that the Post’s anonymous source — not Buckmon — was supposedly involved in the September 2012 jobs report.If These Claims by Reliable Sources Are Proven True, the Obama Administration Will Be Dealing With Another Huge Scandal

Did the Pope just compare abortion to human sacrifices of the past? | LifeSiteNews.com

At this morning’s papal Mass, Pope Francis asked rhetorically and bitterly, “What do you think, that today human sacrifices are not made?” He added: “Many, many people make human sacrifices and there are laws that protect them.”

The statement sounds very much like he could be referring to the abortion of unborn children, which many Christians have referred to as the new human sacrifice to the gods of convenience, money, power and more. That perspective is supported by some of the other talking points from this morning’s homily.

“Often, the people of God prefer to distance themselves from the Lord in favour of worldly proposals,” he said. “Worldliness is the root of evil and it can lead us to abandon our traditions and negotiate our loyalty to God who is always faithful.”

Pope Francis warned against the desire to “be like everyone else” and what he called an “adolescent progressivism”.

“Lord,” the Pope prayed, “give me the discernment to recognize the subtle conspiracies of worldliness that lead us to negotiate our values and our faith.”

There are of course other interpretations, and another leading contender is that he was referring to Christians persecuted around the world today. During his Angelus address at noon, Pope Francis said, “In this moment, let us think of the many Christian brothers and sisters who suffer persecution for their faith. There are many of them. Perhaps more than in the first centuries.”

It can be difficult


Sometimes i get really discouraged. You read the news reports for the day and wonder how many more sick  and evil people are out in the world doing evil. You can begin to wonder if the world isn’t going insane. We have some pretty sick entertainers these days.I will mention no names and give them any notoriety(because they like it) but i’m sure people can figure it out.

[Maybe not-there’s a number of  really good candidates.]

It doesn’t take any talent to be an exhibitionist.

Then there are people committing grossly evil acts. They prey on the innocent. They usually  harm someone who is very young and had so much of their life ahead of them. It’s sickening.There is enough tragedy in the world.

All we can do is kind acts to people in our own families. We can help the less fortunate who are the victims of natural  disasters such as  the tornado outbreak. or the typhoon in the Philippines. We can help the veterans returning home from war who are disabled in some way.  I wish we would protect the unborn.. Have always believed that unless our country protects the life of the unborn,disabled,sick and elderly we will have no respect for life at all. You permit one evil-you get many evils. Kindness and compassion should compel us to do this.
