Scientists Use Computer to Mathematically Prove Gödel God Theorem – SPIEGEL ONLINE

Two scientists have formalized a theorem regarding the existence of God penned by mathematician Kurt Gödel. But the God angle is somewhat of a red herring — the real step forward is the example it sets of how computers can make scientific progress simpler.

As headlines go, it\’s certainly an eye-catching one. \”Scientists Prove Existence of God,\” German daily Die Welt wrote last week.

Of course mathematics can prove the existence of God.

Will delve into that this week 🙂

Romney to WH,Don’t drag me into this

Mitt Romney had an unmistakable message for President Obama on Wednesday as the president headed to Boston for a pep talk on the health care law rollout: Don’t drag me into this.

Obama, in accounting for the troubled launch of ObamaCare, is citing the Massachusetts health care law’s slow start in an effort to keep expectations low. Romney, as governor, signed that law in 2006.

But Romney, who as the GOP’s 2012 presidential nominee ran in part on repealing ObamaCare, emerged from his post-election private life to counter the White House message.

“In the years since the Massachusetts health care law went into effect nothing has changed my view that a plan crafted to fit the unique circumstances of a single state should not be grafted onto the entire country,” he tweeted. “Beyond that, had President Obama actually learned the lessons of Massachusetts health care, millions of Americans would not lose the insurance they were promised they could keep, millions more would not see their premiums skyrocket, and the installation of the program would not have been a frustrating embarrassment.

“Health reform is best crafted by states with bipartisan support and input from its employers, as we did, without raising taxes, and by carefully phasing it in to avoid the type of disruptions we are seeing nationally.”

Former Romney adviser Cindy Gillespie, who played a lead role in developing the Massachusetts law, also told Fox News she sees no parallels between the two rollouts.

She said the sign-up process in the Bay State went relatively smoothly and was implemented in phases.

In November of 2006, Commonwealth Care enrollment began for the residents that were already enrolled to receive “free care” in Massachusetts hospitals. In February of 2007, the state began enrolling residents with annual incomes between 100-300 percent of the federal poverty level, who would receive subsidies to buy Commonwealth Care plans.

In July of 2007, the market opened for non-subsidized people above 300 percent of poverty level. Gillespie said that, to ensure a smooth rollout, they purposefully did not launch a massive IT system without phasing or piloting. “Our enrollment numbers were tied to deliberative phasing and at each phase the enrollment happened like it was supposed to,” she said.

The White House, though, said Obama planned to draw parallels on Wednesday. Jonathan Gruber, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology economics professor who advised both Romney and Obama on the development of their laws, said only 123 paying consumers signed up the first month of the Massachusetts law, with 36,000 coming on by the time penalties kicked in for failing to have insurance.

“That same kind of outcome will happen at the national level, but it will take time,” Gruber said in a media call previewing the trip organized by the White House. “We need to be patient and measure the outcomes in months and years, not days and weeks.”

While more people did sign up as the deadline approached in Massachusetts, its law never faced high-profile computer woes or such fierce opposition. Even though the federal law was modeled in part on Romney’s, the former governor ran against Obama last year on a campaign to repeal the federal version.

While in Boston, Obama also planned to speak at a fundraiser for House Democrats at the home of his former ambassador to Spain, Alan Solomont. About 60 people paid $16,200 to $64,800 to dine on Spanish-influenced fare, to be followed by Red Sox cookies in honor of the World Series game being played in town the same night.

INFURIATED.An Open letter to Bill O Reilly

A Open letter to Bill O Reilly,

O Reilly won’t accuse the President of lying. I will.

I’m not infuriated with Bill.Infuriated with Obama.

Obama always says he didn’t know. I don’t even think his staff is giving him plausible reason to deny by not informing him. I’m assuming he actually knows and is lying.

The reasons I think I can safely assume he IS lying:

1. the media has never dug very deep on Obama. “How does it feel to actually be President”  is one really tough question. Remember the Romney-Obama debate when Benghazi came up? Obama didn’t need to defend himself.Candy Crowley stepped in for him. This was going to be THE most transparent administration in history according to Obama. It is secretive and insulated.  People can’t say if he’s lying or if he’s ignorant of what’s going on because nobody can get close enough to the Administration to find out. Even if they could, the probably wouldn’t. Except Fox(and they happen to be on his enemies list).Given that nobody can report conclusively I am going to go by what i’ve seen and his past record. I have to conclude. LYING.

2. Past history. He didn’t know what Rev Wright preached in his congregation? He only attended 20 yr and had no idea at all? When Wright became a problem for Obama’s chances of winning he dumped Wright. Wright didn’t mind because he wanted Obama elected. Obama didn’t ditch him until he got in the way. Obama claims he barely knew William Ayers. The way Obama talked they might have just brushed shoulders.

3. How about Obama on the campaign trail? He supported Traditional marriage-one male, one female. Look at his agenda now. When question re conception he said,”it’s above my pay grade.” Good answer because he avoided having to say whether he was pro life or pro abortion. His record said pro abortion but how many voters would bother to look?He made a lot of campaign promises. He’s failed to keep the majority. He knew he wouldn’t.They were lies.

4. You don’t have to look any further than Benghazi to know he lies. He pushed the video narrative for weeks. There is no way on earth anyone believed it was the video. It’s impossible to claim ignorance.” I don’t know” would have been a better narrative but to blame the video when the average person knew it was a terrorist attack was a deliberate attempt to mislead. That is,LIE.

5. We also know Valerie Jarret intended to go after Obama’s enemies if he got elected. She said it herself. We have heard Obama make statements about Fox,the tea party and ANYONE he thinks is opposing him and it hasn’t been pretty. The DOJ was going after James Rosen. With or without the Jarret threat(i took the meme out to satisfy an Obama drone)we know the mo of Barack Obama anyway. The 2 people behind Obama are George Soros and Valerie Jarret. We’ll do a WHOLE post on both of them in the near future. It still doesn’t help Obama one bit without the Jarret meme.

You’re darned right he KNEW about the IRS targeting certain groups. He and Jarret are behind it.

His claim to have no knowledge doesn’t pass the smell test. When it was all said and done he claimed IF it was going on at the IRS  it was unacceptable. There was no IF to it. They admitted it and blamed 2 workers in  Cincinnati. He did the usual feigned outrage and “I will get to the bottom of this” statement. He never does.

So O Reilly believes he’s incompetent. I am certain he’s lying. His past record and phony statements are convincing to me.Neither is good.
