An Ohio school district has agreed to keep a portrait of Jesus Christ off school property and pay a $95,000 fine in the face of legal pressure from the American Civil Liberties Union.
Under the terms of the settlement, the district will pay the money to the ACLU and Freedom From Religion Foundation for damages and legal fees.
Residents of a Florida city who have had “God Bless America” signs posted on their front lawns for months have been ordered by local officials to remove them.
MyFoxTampaBay.com reports that the First Baptist Church of Bartow distributed some 300 signs to residents following a Fourth of July celebration. The city only permits residents to display signs during major holidays is starting to crack down on the displays.

My point is this: I don’t recall growing up in the country i see now.The progressives,socialists,marxists have nearly ruined it. People call it freedom. I don’t know what is so free about being RULED BY people who believe they know what is best for you;even if they have to force it upon you and take away the rights you are guaranteed.
We don’t even protect the unborn anymore.They’re as disposable as garbage because we have an intellect so darkened we think that killing the unborn is a justifiable choice. Kermit Gosnell is just the tip of the iceberg.Do you really think for a minute he’s the only one-or is he the only one who was actually caught? We moved the abortionist out of the back alley,put him in a respectable office and created a lucrative business answerable to no one.While the gov’t IMPOSES mandates left and right on legitimate businesses.
Planned Parenthood is in your child’s school teaching them that they can’t control themselves and that sexual relationships are recreational.They get pregnant and run to Planned Parenthood to ‘take care of the problem.’ Planned Parenthood does not want the parents in the way. Our country is inundated with porn and over sexualization of the young but thinks pictures of Jesus and the 10 commandments are offensive.Last i knew thou shalt not kill,steal and commit adultery were the basis for a civilized society.
The list of attacks on our country by Obama and the progressives who support him grows every day…but the media remains silent and even covers up for the man. There isn’t one objective journalist willing to stand up and say enough is enough.
The media helped get him elected and even LIED to do it;but where was the American citizen willing to question the media? What about the people who stayed home complaining Romney wasn’t ‘conservative enough?’
Was Obama conservative enough? Do we have to help the progressives by taking down our own?
I ask one question when i look at a candidate. Is this person pro life? If you can’t protect that one right the rest hardly matter.
IF a candidate can’t stand up for that one right they’re in the pocket of the progressive agenda.
It’s that simple.
If we can’t tell the difference between licentiousness and freedom we are not going to recover .We may be looking at the fall of our own Roman Empire . I find myself so often approaching the large icons at the front of our parish and just standing there, with my wonderful beeswax candles in my hand.
